I'm resident of Taman Bukit Maluri and wish to bring to your attention with regards to the above; recently my son and quite a number of his schoolmates (Taman Bukit Maluri secondary school – sits SPM last year) applies for the above.
He obtains 10A (8A+, 2A) and 1B+ for his mandarin (of which is pending appeal result as according to his teacher, his should be getting at least an A based on his school examinations thus far). Anyway to cut the story short, these few young man and ladies (just for your information these "group" of student's SPM results are not any worse than my son's) applies petronas scholarship as well as matriculation courses in local U – BUT sadly to say that they were rejected "OUT-RIGHT" – not even get a call for interview or whatsoever. However in his school there's one "special" (not to mention 'race') lady whose results are no where near these group of people yet she gets admitted to the matriculation!
My question is – IF Petronas and matriculation courses are not for the non special people than make it clear and don't waste the time and dashed the hope of these naïve young "Malaysian"! Do you know how disappointed these youngsters when they gets the result? – No words can describe!
